And this is Stay Accountable.

On my journey of personal development, accountability was a term I heard often. To be accountable is to be responsible for one’s actions but also inaction and for me I applied this principle to all areas of my life, friendships, partnerships, my relationship with myself but here’s the thing, that included my finances. I noticed that I always felt an immense sense of anxiety when it came to my money, so I avoided it. Have you ever been scared to check your bank account? Well, that was me. The only time I would check was friday mornings when my direct deposit came in. But that was no way to live, especially if I wanted to be a successful adult. If I wanted to feel at ease when it came to my financial situation it was my responsibility. I had to watch how I was spending, no one was coming to save me.

In 2020, I started journaling to find ease with my feelings when it came to finances but in this journal I also started to create schedules for paying down my debt, paying for school, scheduling my bills but it was also at this time that I began to manifest this company. It was called “Secure the Bag” lol but as the years went, divine revelation was given to me that this wasn’t something as shallow as making money or becoming rich but a deeper almost spiritual experience of changing my relationship with money, confronting my feelings of anxiety, being honest about what I could afford and eventually finding peace in knowing that I have enough to support myself and also live a life where I can pay my bills but also enjoy the things that bring me pleasure like traveling and trying filet mignon at every restaurant to see who makes it best (so far no one beats Capital Grille lol).
